Detoxing our body is one of the best ways to cleanse yourself and lose weight. In many case by the end of the detoxifying process people feel like entire new beings. They are happier, healthier, look better than they ever thought they would after such a simple process and they tend to have more energy. The following meal plan is designed to help rid your body of the many toxins that can cause you to gain weight.
Some of the best ways to detox your body is to do a few of the following. First, you should drink plenty of water, increase the amount you normally would drink during this time to about 12 8 oz glasses a day. You should also increase your daily fiber intake by about 15%. Including many fresh fruits and vegetables into your detox diet is also highly recommended. Things to avoid include:
- Caffeine
- Yeast
- Sugar
- Carbonated beverages
- Alcoholic beverages
Another body detox system is done with liquids. Some suggest drinking ginger tea. Here is a recipe to make ginger tea:
- 2c water
- 1/2 tsp ginger (powdered)
- 1/2 tsp tumeric
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon extract
Allow the water to boil and then reduce it to a simmer with the ginger for about 10 minutes. Pour into your favorite mug. Add the remaining ingredients, stir and let it cool for a little while. Once you can safely drink it relax and enjoy the tea.
If you decide to go the other route to detox your body it is suggested that you fast for about three days before beginning this diet. Here are some suggested meals for your diet after you have fasted.
Breakfast
Fresh melons. You can eat as much as you need to in order to feel full or satisfied. There are no restrictions on the type of melon you can eat.
Lunch
Pick another fruit to eat for lunch. You can eat any fruit you want that is different from the melon you ate for breakfast. You can only eat one type of fruit, so be sure you do not mix them. Again, you can eat as much as you want of the same fruit.
Snack
Carrot juice. You can have 12 oz of fresh carrot juice.
Dinner
You can eat pears, bananas, apples or grapes for dinner. Pick one fruit and eat as much as you want. Be sure you do not eat a little of one fruit and then change your mind to eat a different fruit. You can eat until your are no longer hungry.
To modify your diet a little you should mix up the fruits from day to day. Add variety but stick to the body detox diet plan. Cleanse your body for a better feeling and better looking you.
